Our 2019 season of the Mineral Point Market has come and gone. We had a great year and are so thankful to all of you for your continued support of our local vendors! You and your dedication to shopping local is what makes our market so wonderful!
We hope that you have a fabulous holiday season! And while many of our vendors hibernate during the winter there are a few that offer products throughout winter. Thanks for all your support this season. We can't say enough how much we appreciate your support of Bures Berry Patch and the Mineral Point Market! The Patch is open 9 am - 6 pm daily through Christmas. At the Patch we'll have our farm fresh eggs, local honey, and pure Wisconsin maple syrup. Many of you know us as the little spot next to Tequila Point. Tim and Richard, myself and Richard's mom have been working on some sweet and savory offerings (several of which are café favorites). All of our recipes are scratch-made in small batches right down the street in the kitchen of the Old Royal Inn. We hope you enjoy them as much as we do! We serve hot and cold Colectivo coffee (roasted in Milwaukee and served in the café). Thank you for stopping by!

Our personalized laser engraved and fine wood products would be great for family and friends all year round. We manufacture cutting boards, rulers, key fobs, note pads, pastry boards and samples of plaques are also available for custom orders. Also a lap table and hand knit scarves. We'll be at occasional markets in Spring Green and the MadWest farmers market on the West side of Madison; these are likely the closest to Mineral Point. We want to thank Aspen Ridge Home & Garden for hosting our market through the downright wintery fall! If you haven't had a chance to stop up and check out the wonder of market indoors, do so this Saturday! Reflecting back on the 2019 MP Market season it was wonderful to see so many new vendors join us. Visually, one of my favorite memories is the row of red, white and blue canopies set up along the sidewalk. What a festive environment it made each Saturday morning.
Sadly, once again the time has come for the final Market of the season. We want to extend our sincere thanks to everyone at Aspen Ridge for hosting us in their greenhouse each Fall when the weather turns too nasty to be at the park.
However - just because Market is over doesn't mean we stop selling meat. E-mail or call in your order (federman@charter.net - 608-574-2899) or to request our product list. Thank you for your continued support and we look forward to servicing your needs with our full line of Pork and Angus Beef products throughout the winter.

PRIME RIB ROASTS are in. Our TOP OF THE LINE STEAKS will be on 'customer appreciation special pricing' one last time. No maximum quantities - buy all you want however when the current inventory is gone so is the special price.
Of course we still have our wide variety of Black Angus Beef and Pork products. How about a ham roast or some pork sausage for Sunday brunch!

November 9th - 3rd indoor market at Aspen Ridge Home & Garden
Hello MP Market Goers!
Winter sure came in with a poof of snow this year! I can hardly believe that it's only early November! But it certainly brings out the holiday cheer. I've even heard Farmer Ed singing Christmas songs already!!!
Make your holidays go seamlessly by stocking up on consumable gifts for hosts, teachers, and friends alike as well as delicious meals from the Mineral Point Market. Marr's has bone in prime rib, Cafe 43 has bread that can be frozen and sweet treats, Farmers Daughter has delicious scones and muffins (pop in the freezer for those quick easy breakfasts), James Pine has tasty chicken for a nice hearty soup, and Bures Berry Patch has honey and pure maple syrup to keep your tea sweet and your breakfasts delicious! Plus don't forget the veggies from Shooting Star Farm!

Shooting Star Farm
Looks like this will be the last Market for me! Dan, Krista, and I got the last of the carrots and a few other crops out of the fields and hoophouse on Tuesday ahead of the deep freeze. Cold-hardy crops store really well this time of year. The sweeter flavor in kale, broccoli, and lettuce is due to the plants accumulating sugars in their leaves – a natural anti-freeze! The sugars make the flavor more pleasant and increase the shelf life of many crops, too. We gleaned as much produce from the fields as possible after the snow melted, and will have a nice variety for Saturday. This is the list: salad turnips, baby fennel, celery, celeriac, kale leaves in bulk (too small to bunch), Bok choy, broccoli, leeks, lettuce heads, salad mix, baby arugula, onions (yellow, red, bottle), shallots, beets of mixed sizes and colors, orange and rainbow carrots, butternut and honey nut winter squash, and a few scallion and radish bunches. Dress for winter and come see us on Saturday!
