Shooting Star Farm
Cherry tomatoes are starting to ripen. Hurray! We will have some pints of both sungold and red this week. We’ll also have a small amount of mini heirloom tomatoes and a early red tomatoes. You’d think with all the heat this summer that tomatoes would be especially early. But it’s hard to recall just how cool the spring was. The soil temperatures were awfully cold into May. I ‘m glad we’ve finally caught up. To go with tomatoes, we have a gorgeous array of eggplant. We love to grill eggplant. No peeling or salting, just some olive oil, salt and pepper, and slices are done in 10 minutes on a hot grill (turning once). Or grill them dry and dip in a mixture of balsamic vinegar, olive oil and parsley. Yum. Other great grilling items include summer squash, fennel, and fresh onions. We’ll have some large sweet onions and purple Italian bottle onions this week. Other items at our stand will include bunched carrots, bunched beets, green beans, Swiss chard, kale, cucumbers, lettuce, salad mix, basil, parsley, and sage. See you Saturday! Rink, Jenny, and Charlie

Supreme Seafood
I have an assortment of seafood shrimp, cod, crab legs, lobster, scallops to alligator, frog legs, grouper and so much more most everything is coming directly from the boats in Alaska and Canada. Shooting Star Farm
What a steamy week. We’ve been having a bit of trouble keeping the non-lettuce portion of our salad greens germinating in this hot weather. The baby lettuce is fine however, so we will certainly have a baby lettuce mix if the arugula and other greens don’t come through. We’ve also been able to produce heads of lettuce all summer, thus far, and will have some again this weekend. Look for red bibb, and red and green summer crisp, and possibly a few more. Other items include more BEANS! Seems like all the plantings are coming on at once! Or maybe that’s just what picking beans feels like…. Look for three varieties of eggplant: elongated Japanese, standard purple, and a lovely Italian lavender type. Also, bunched carrots and bunched beets, green and gold zucchini, pattypan squash, cucumbers, mini onions, basil, fennel, kale, and Swiss chard (nice, new crop). See you Saturday! Rink, Jenny, and Charlie

BEANS! We’ll have plenty of delicious green beans for market this Saturday. The plants are loaded. We hope this is the start of having a regular supply through early September. The beans will be available pre-bagged in one-pound bags, or bulk so you can choose exactly how many you want. Summer squash and zucchini are also plentiful. Don’t be afraid of trying the unusually shaped patty pan and round “geode” varieties. They taste nearly identical to zucchini (perhaps a bit nuttier and less watery), and are a breeze to cut into chunks for sautéing or grilling with other veggies. Mini onions, scallions, basil, and eggplant go really well with summer squash. We’ll have all of those items including a good amount of eggplant - both Japanese (elongated), and Italian (round) varieties. Also look for bunched beets, fennel, Swiss chard, kale, cucumbers, shelling peas, lettuce, salad mix, and baby arugula. See you Saturday! Rink, Jenny, and Charlie

Mission Abolition
We will not be here this week. Mission Abolition creates schlep bags made from donated fabrics, which brings unique color and pattern designs to each bag. All proceeds from the sales of these bags are donated to the Not For Sale organization, which works to end human trafficking and modern-day slavery. Mission Abolition believes in raising awareness of the needs of people involved in human trafficking and modern-day slavery with a personal touch sewn into each bag. Look for them in weeks to come.

Nana’s Salsa Fresca
We will not be here this week or the next, see you July 23rd. Our salsa recipes have been in our family for generations, they are a table favorite for both family and friends. We make a red salsa with fresh jalapenos, a green salsa with fresh Serrano peppers and on occasion we will make a corn salsa, as well as a fresh fruit salsa. The flavors are fresh and vibrant. One taste and you can’t stop. Rob & Natalie Hanke

P & M Gardens
P & M Gardens, LLC will be at market this week. We will have Hosta, Day Lilies, and Peonies.

Rockwell Ridge Bakery
Be back July 23rd selling homemade baked goods including items like brownies, crumb cake and scones, prepared salads and sides, jams, fruit sauces and fresh apple cider in the fall. All of the products are based on things I love and items grown on our farm, Rockwell Ridge. We are located just a couple miles outside of Dodgeville and have fruit trees, berries and vegetables that are all grown without pesticides or herbicides. I make everything I sell with joy and passion and look forward to sharing it with you.

Shooting Star Farm
Summer is finally here! We still don’t have tomatoes (they’re a few weeks away), but we’ve got lots of other great items for this week: Zucchini, pattypan, and round summer squash (all yummy), basil, cucumbers, mini red and mini white onions, scallions, bunched beets, sugar snap peas, shelling peas (those old-fashioned ones), lots of varieties of head lettuce (watered well to keep them cool and mild-flavored in the heat), salad mix, baby arugula, Swiss chard, kale, frisee endive, and dill. Hope I didn’t leave anything out. By the way, you can get your tomatoes from Molly at the seafood stand until ours come in. She grows them in her greenhouse and they are delicious. See you Saturday! Rink, Jenny, and Charlie.

Supreme Seafood
Molly has an assortment of seafood shrimp, cod, crab legs, lobster, scallops to alligator, frog legs, grouper and so much more most everything is coming directly from the boats in Alaska, Canada. I will also have an assortment of peppers, cherry tomatoes, beef steak tomatoes and English cucumbers all grown locally in Potosi.

Other vendors we know to be coming include:
Mary Jean James will bring her farm fresh eggs as well as her farm raised chickens.
Papa Bob will also be here with his scrumptious breads, coffee, muffins, cheese cakes, and soups.
